Itaipu Binacional and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) invite you to the first Global Symposium on Sustainable Water and Energy Solutions, a hybrid event (in-person and online) at Itaipu power plant, from June 13 to 15, 2022.
The event is a partnership between Itaipu and UNDESA, founding members of the Sustainable Water and Energy Solutions Network. The network brings together organizations from around the world that work with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6 (water) and 7 (energy) in an integrated and synergistic way, contributing to the advancement of the other goals that are part of the 2030 Agenda.
With this event, the initiative will share cases and good practices that contribute to various aspects of sustainable development, such as climate change, sanitation, renewable energies, health, education, food security, and economic growth, among other related topics.
The Global Symposium will bring together representatives of international institutions and experts. The idea is to contribute to building public policies that can guide the im plementation of sustainable solutions in water and energy in regional and in international scenarios.
